Zarda


Ingredients:

  1. Rice (sela): 1kg

  2. Orange food color:1tsp

  3. Sugar:750gm

  4. Ghee:250gn

  5. Almonds:50gm

  6. Pistachios:50gm

  7. Tutti fruity :1cup

  8. Khoya:1cup

  9. Green cardamom:4

Recipe:
  • Soak rice in water for 1an hour then drainout it.

  • Boil rice with food color for 15-20minutes or till more than half boiled.

  • Drain out rice and keep aside.

  • Heat up ghee,add green cardamom,fry it.now put half of boiled rice,spread it then make a layer of sugar again put rice.

  • Now sprinkle nuts and tutti fruity.on slow flame cook it for 15_20 minutes.

  • Mix it well then sprinkle khoya on top now serve it.
