CHATPATI CHANA CHAAT


INGREDIENTS:
  1. Chickpeas (soaked) : 1/2 kg

  2. Potatoes (boiled) : 1/2 kg

  3. Sat : To Taste

  4. Red Chili Flakes : 1tbsp

  5. Red Chili powder : 11/2 tsp

  6. Yogurt : 1/2 Cup

  7. Tamarind : 1/2 Cup

  8. Baking Soda : 1 tsp

  9. Cumin Seeds : 2 tsp

  10. Coriander Seeds : 2 tsp

  11. Black pepper : 1 tsp

  12. Ajwain : 1 tsp

  13. Oil : 2 tbsp.

  14. Green Chili(chopped) : 3-4

  15. Onion(chopped) : 2


RECIPE:
  • Dissolve Baking soda in Water and add Chickpeas for overnight then boil it for 2 hours.

  • Boil Potatoes then peel off and cut it in small cubes.

  • Heat up Oil, add some Cumin Seeds, fry it then add Salt, Red Chili Powder, mix it.

  • Add Chickpeas, cook it for 5 minutes then add Potatoes, mix well, switch off the flame.

  • Beat Yogurt, Soak Tamarind in Water for half an hour then squeeze its water pulb.

  • Dish out Chickpeas, pour Tamarind water pulb and Yogurt on it.

  • Roast Red Chili flakes, Black pepper, Ajwain, Cumin seeds and Coriander Seeds for 5-6 minutes then chop it in powder form.

  • Sprinkle 2-4 tsp of roasted Masala on Chickpeas.

  • Garnish it with chilies & onions.
